Frozen is a story of a young princess Elsa who possesses powers to generate frost, snow and ice and make them all do her bidding. While playing with Anna, her younger sister, she injures her.
Anna is eventually healed by a troll king who takes away memories of Elsa’s magical powers. For much of their childhood the two sisters live separate lives having been made to live apart by their parents. In their teenage years the two girls are orphaned when their parents perish in a sea storm.
Just before Elsa’s coronation Anna meets Prince Hans and a bond develops between them. At Elsa’s coronation Anna is proposed to by Hans. Elsa however declines to bless the relationship. After a heated argument Elsa leaves the castle to live alone in a palace made of ice and vows never to return. The kingdom meanwhile is left in a state of permanent winter.
In a bid to heal their relationship and seek an end to the winter, Anna hands over her duties temporarily to Hans and sets off to find Elsa.
When Anna and Elsa finally meet it quickly turns catastrophic when Elsa strikes Anna’s heart and her heart slowly begins freezing. The only thing that can unfreeze the heart is her demonstrating true love. Anna’s sidekick thinks the solution lies in getting Hans to kiss her. But as it turns out Hans was not really in love with her and all he wanted to achieve by feigning love for her was to take control of her kingdom. And with Anna now seemingly out of the way Elsa is the one stumbling block standing in his path. Will he succeed in his evil intentions?
