The Artist (2011) is a movie which takes place in 1927 although it was really produced in 2011. The director did an amazing job of capturing the era of 1927. George Valentine whom is a movie famous movie star, enjoys his latest picture called The Russian Affair. He is known to hog the spotlight, especially when he worked in the movie The Russian Affair.
Within this movie is a beautiful young lady with dreams of becoming an actress and she goes by the name of Peppy Miller. She literally runs straight into Valentin during his premiere. This is exactly how her career took off. The movie studio which Valentin works for had been looking for new talent for quite awhile and Peppy Miller matched their needs. In this movie, she was extremely grateful since Valentin helped her and even tried to help him in return.
The fans absolutely loved her. They liked everything about Pepper Miller, including that little beauty mark which gave her so much character. Valentine was the one to pencil in this beauty mark and he did so with the utmost love.
Eventually in this movie, Peppy and Valentin begin to fall in love. However, George Valentine tries to ignore Peppy as he is a married man but for him – itâ€™s not that easy. George watches as Peppy begins to grow her career and at the same time, his career begins to fade. He becomes bankrupt and things begin to go downhill.
In The Artist (2011), everything is black and white which is appropriate for the year that the movie takes place in.
