If you watch Unforgiven online, you will realize it is eerily similar to the 1992 Clint Eastwood western by the same name. It is, only that the former is set in Japan.
The heart of the story kicks off when a prostitute is disfigured by two brothers. However when the brothers are apprehended they only get a slap on the wrist from the local lawman named Oishi. Following this miscarriage of justice, the rest of the prostitutes join hands and put together a bounty that will be given to whoever hunts down the two villains.
Among the bounty hunters who come forward to try and claim the prize include Kingo. Kingo happens to have been an old friend of Jubei, a samurai known for his effectiveness. Kingo soon goes in search of Jubei and finds him with his 2 kids living in poverty on a tiny farm. Kingo manages to talk Jubei into partnering with him in hunting the two brothers in order to win the bounty. The duo are soon joined by Goro on their venture.
But when they get to a town, Jubei is recognized by Oishi who assaults him to the point of nearly killing him. At the time Goro and Kingo are with the hookers and they manage to escape harm.
After taking some time to recuperate with the assistance of the hookers, the trio manage to hunt down one of the brothers and they slay him. But this is just the beginning as Oishi and his men are hot on the trail of the bounty hunters. Who will blink first?
