For a film exploring romantic relationships watch Weekend online and enjoy this romantic drama set in Britain. Weekend features two homosexual men, Russell and Glen, whose random one night stand surprisingly develops into a deeper relationship.
Glen is a student at an art school while Russell is a lifeguard and a swimming instructor. After hooking up the previous evening and spending the night at Russell’s house, the next morning Glen wants to interview Russell. Russell is reluctant at first but Glen manages to convince him claiming that it is for a school project. Once Glen is done interviewing Russell, he leaves after they have exchanged numbers.
During a boring time at work, Russell sends a text message to Glen and they arrange to meet again. During this second meeting, they discover more about each other before they ride to Russell’s pad on Russell’s bicycle. While at Russell’s house Glen learns that Russell was brought up in a foster home.
On his way out the following morning, Glen discloses that he’s leaving the country for studies on a course that will take two years. Glen then asks Russell to attend his farewell party. After the party, they return to Russell’s house where they have a brief fight after Glen learns that Russell had been lovers with John, his then-boyfriend. They make up, though.
At the train station where Russell has gone to bid Glen goodbye, it is not just hugs and kisses as Glen springs a surprise gift for Russell. Will they ever see each other again?
